Hello there!!! My name is Samuel Hurcomb. I am a freelance filmmaker, videographer and Award winning Cinematographer. I specialize in camera and lighting for short film and short documentary production.

I am passionate about authentic storytelling and learning through practice in the camera department. In July-August 2022, I worked as a Camera assistant for Progress Productions covering the live broadcast of Birmingham Commonwealth Games.

In 2023, I received a  Craft award for best cinematography from the Royal Television society for my final year short film Headhunters.

I have had the opportunity to be a cinematographer on a documentary short film, Bablu on Air, which was supported by Bad Wolf and Film Cymru.

In 2026, my MA final film, WORKFLOW, was nominated by Royal Television Society Cymru for best MA film.
